End of the 16th century, beginning of the 17th century: subsequent owners allowed the domain to fall into ruin

1644: Jean Perrault bought and restored the Château. He also built two outbuildings: the stables and the coach-house.

1825: Pierre Antoine Berryer bought the Château and carried out important developments allowing the first archaeological discoveries of Gallo-Roman sarcophagi. He also held grand receptions for many illustrious guests.
In the following years, the Château changed hands many times before falling again into disrepair.

1926: Mrs Belmont, an American billionaire, bought the Château and completely changed the interior decoration. The water from the moat was used to fill the ponds, the courtyard was enclosed with a crenellated wall. Mrs Belmont also created a bowling alley in a lodge in the grounds, the first one in France.

1933: The Château was sold to a Swiss company. The main shareholder, a certain « Doctor » Kopp, was a German chemist and also a Wehrmacht Colonel. He lived in the Château and was well known in the village before being found guilty of arms trafficking and dealing in heroin.

• Your room is equipped with a “Coupure générale” switch. It allows you to switch on & off the electricity in your room (lamps and electric outlets).
• You may vary your own thermostat to get the temperature you wish.

Dinner every day from 7pm till 9.30 pm at the Jacques Coeur Restaurant

1) A call terminal is available outside as well as at the main entrance of the castle.

2) A room within the estate is suitable for people with reduced mobility.

3) An elevator within the castle is available to all as well as a ramp giving access to the golf course garden.

4) Disabled toilets are available in each sanitary block within the castle, accessible by lift.

5) Disabled parking spaces:

A reserved place in the French garden (castle garden) next to the disabled ramp.
A reserved place in front of the castle.
A place in front of the disabled room.
6) Help with carrying luggage to the room by the staff.

7) The staff is available in case of any need for anyone during their stay, example for ramp assistance.

8) An electric cart can be made available upon reservation to move around within the domain.

9) Accompaniment of people with reduced mobility by the staff on the best they wish on the domain.
